Prior to Yahoo!, Anand was Director of PM at Openwave driving new product incubation and day to day product management of the mobile mediation product line which touched 200+M subscribers daily through 70+ mobile operators. Before Openwave, he was CTO and head of product at MorfMobile, a platform that specialized in mobilizing premium content and services. Earlier, Anand was with MyToday SMS (India), a mobile content publisher with over 17M monthly mobile users and 12 billion+ SMS messages sent annually. Previously, Anand co-founded and helped build Aeroprise, and under his leadership, Aeroprise's mobile personalization solutions became the most-deployed mobility tool worldwide for service management and was acquired by BMC Software.
He holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, a Bachelors in Engineering from PSG College of Technology (India) and has completed the Global Leadership and Policy Program at Harvard University. In 2010, Anand was selected by World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader, and in 2011 he was named one of Silicon Valley's 40 rising stars.
