He later developed the back-end infrastructure for Yahoo! Messenger, eventually building the team that launched that product. Over eight years, he grew his engineering team to about 1,500 people. Together, Ash and his team grew Yahoo!'s infrastructure to serve hundreds of millions of users. Since leaving Yahoo! Ash has invested in more than 12 early-stage companies. He is a board member of Data Torrent, Breakthrough. Mr. Patel holds a B.S. in Computer Science from King's College, University of London.
