Benjamin Horowitz is a co-founder and general partner at Andreessen Horowitz. He is a board member of Anyscale and SnapLogic. Mr. Horowitz is the lead independent director at Okta. He is on the board of directors of Mayvenn and Lyft. He is also a board member of Caffeine, Cresta AI, United Masters, Sisu, TripActions and Magnet Systems. He was co-founder and CEO of Opsware (formerly Loudcloud), which was acquired by HP in 2007, and was named vice president and general manager of business technology optimization for software at HP. Previously, he was vice president and general manager of America Online's e-commerce platform division. Previously, he led several product divisions at Netscape Communications. He also served as vice president of Netscape's widely acclaimed Directory and Security product line. Prior to joining Netscape in July 1995, he held various senior product marketing positions at Lotus Development Corporation. He is also a board observer at Gainspeed. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California. He is a board member of many companies including Foursquare, Tidemark Systems and Databricks, Jawbone, Lytro, Magnet Systems, Nicira, 3dna, Tidemark, Medium Corporation and SignalFuse. He has served on the board of directors of Usermind. He is also an advisor to A. Capital Ventures. He has also served as an advisor to Barefoot Networks. He is on the board of directors of Sisu Data.
