During his four years at Facebook, he held various positions, including vice president of user growth, mobile and international. A resident of Palo Alto, he joined Facebook in 2007 and was a major force in the launch and incredible growth of the social networking site, overseeing monetization products, Facebook Platform, managing the team responsible for mobile products, and ultimately helping grow the user base to more than 750 million people worldwide. Before joining Facebook, he also held executive positions at AOL (vice president and general manager of AIM and ICQ), the Mayfield Fund (a Silicon Valley venture capital firm), Winamp and Spinner.com (two Internet music pioneers). He attended the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, where he graduated with first class honours in Electrical Engineering.
