Gil Elbaz is a co-founder and managing partner of TenOneTen Ventures. He is Co-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Foursquare. He founded and served as CEO of Factual. He is an experienced entrepreneur and pioneer in natural language technology. Factual, founded in 2008, was Gil's second startup. In 1998, Gil co-founded Applied Semantics Inc. (ASI), which developed contextual advertising products, including AdSense. Google acquired ASI in 2003, and Gil remained with the company until 2007 as director of engineering in the Santa Monica office, continuing to work on AdSense. Gil holds a bachelor's degree from the California Institute of Technology with a double major in engineering and applied science and economics. Gil serves on the board of directors of the X Prize Foundation. He is also an advisor to SignalFire. He is an angel investor. He holds a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology.
