Harris Barton is the founder and Managing Director of H. Barton Asset Management. Previously, he was a Managing Director in the Business Development team and is responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with key clients. In 1999, he co-founded HRJ Capital. During his soccer career, he became a public and private equity investor, most notably Sequoia Capital in venture capital, beginning with Sequoia Capital VII in the early '90s. The relationships he established in that process were instrumental in creating the network of high quality fund managers in the financial services industry available to HRJ Capital. Mr. Barton graduated from the University of North Carolina, where he earned a B.S. in Finance.
