Shah met his business partner, Neil Patel, through Patel's sister, who Shah was dating at the time

By 2007, the company was implementing strategies for many Fortune 500 companies
In 2006, the business partners founded their second company, Crazy Egg, an analytics software which allows website owners to analyze behavior on their website through "heatmaps" of visitors clicks.
Shah and Patel founded KISSmetrics, an online analytics platform, in 2008.
Shah currently acts as President of KISSmetrics.
KISSmetrics has raised over $4 million in venture capital and currently has over 1,300 paying customers.
