Jeff Kearl is a general partner at Pelion Venture Partners. He is a member of the board of directors of LVT. He is an advisor at K5 Ventures. He is on the board of directors of Open Raven and Trace Soccer. Before Pelion, he was CEO, co-founder and chairman of the board of directors of Stance, a clothing brand that celebrates human originality. Stance reinvented the basics, starting with socks and underwear, combining modern prints with cutting-edge material science and garment design technology. Stance's investors include Will Smith, Dwayne Wade, Jay-Z, James Harden, Stanford, Kleiner Perkins, Menlo Ventures and Mercato. Prior to Stance, he was a board director and head of Logoworks, an Internet marketplace that was successfully acquired by Hewlett Packard, and also worked as an associate at vSpring Capital. He has invested in 40+ technology and consumer startups with a 70% IRR. He is a board member of Scopely and Just Water. In 2012, he was named Director of the Year by the Corporate Directors Forum for his work as chairman of Skullcandy's board during the company's growth from sales of less than $1 million in 2003 to an IPO in 2011. He was also named the 2019 Orange County Entrepreneur of the Year by EY. He holds a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University.
