Jonathan Kaden is the founder and managing partner of Torch Capital. He also co-founded and served as president and CEO of InsideHook. He is also a member of the board of directors of Housfy. He is also a member of the board of directors of Nara Organics. He has spent his career at the intersection of media, entertainment and technology. He is currently a venture advisor for Trigger Media (a digital media fund), a recently launched men's lifestyle platform that develops recommendations for established, adventurous men, is on its way to becoming the fastest-growing digital newsletter in its field and is already recognized as a leader in innovative content curation and integration. Before joining Trigger Media, he worked for former General Electric CEO Jack Welch, launching his online education venture, and at Mendeley, a British startup that is the world's largest online research collaboration platform, where he got his start in the US. He began his career in the entertainment business, where he founded a music talent management company, which he ran for eight years. After that, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in their media and entertainment practice. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, from which he graduated cum laude. He is a board member of Bronx Success Academy 1, an elementary charter school. He is also co-trustee of the George Gershwin Family Trust, where he oversees the management of Gershwin's musical property, and a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a member of the board of directors of Sollis Health. He is also an angel investor.
