Joshua Kopelman is a partner at First Round Capital. He is on the board of directors of Notion. He also serves on the boards of KiwiCo, Loyal, Boulder Care, Vitable Health and Wonderschool. He is a board observer at NED Biosystems and Spring Discovery. He has been an active entrepreneur and investor in the Internet industry since its commercialization. He is on the board of directors of Metric Insights. Previously he was a board member of Curalate, Clover Health and Amino Payments. In 1992, while a student at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Josh co-founded Infonautics Corporation. In July 1999, Josh founded Half.com and led it to become one of the world's largest sellers of used books, movies and music. In July 2000, Half.com was acquired by eBay. In 2004, he co-founded First Round Capital to reinvent seed-stage investing. He holds a B.S. with honors in entrepreneurial management and marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also an angel investor. He has served as a fund management partner at Startup PHL. He is also a board member of Vital Software (healthcare technology systems). He is a founding partner of First Close Capital Partners.
