Manik Gupta served as director of products at Uber. He works as an advisor at Turing.com. Prior to taking this position, Manik led the product teams at Uber Marketplace and Maps, where he was responsible for creating best-in-class mapping solutions and technologies for the marketplace. He is also an angel investor. Throughout his career, Manik has focused on problems that help move X from point A to point B. Prior to Uber, Manik worked at Google Maps for more than seven years. He led the creation and curation of all maps and business data to make Google Maps the most accurate, complete and useful map in the world. Manik grew up in India and spent many years in Singapore, where he founded BuyItTogether.com, an e-commerce company, right out of college. That company was successfully acquired by Norwegian company CoShopper.com, and Manik subsequently led Hewlett Packard's e-commerce initiatives in Asia Pacific and Japan. He studied computer engineering at Nanyang Technological University and received his MBA from the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India.
