His previous experience includes sales management, a sales executive, a systems engineer, and a software engineer. He is also an advisor to the board of directors of Switchfly. He received his bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics from New York University in 1966 and graduated from Harvard Business School's Management Development Program in 1980.
