Morris Wheeler is a senior advisor at DalFort Capital Partners. Mr. Wheeler is a founder and director of Drummond Road Capital. He was also co-chairman of the board of directors of VersaFlex. He is a member of the board of directors of Expensebot. For the past ten years, he has managed a portfolio of diverse venture capital and private equity investments and served as Chairman and CEO of Cohesant, a company offering solutions that extend the life of aging water infrastructure. During his tenure, Cohesant's investors generated an annual return of 28%, culminating in the sale of Graco Inc. in 2008. Following that sale, Drummond Road retained a stake in Raven Linings Systems, which was sold to VersaFlex, a Dalfort portfolio company, in December 2017. Shortly thereafter, he joined Dalfort and serves on VersaFlex's board of directors. Early in his career, he specialized in software and digital media. As CEO and founder, he led the team that created the first Internet music distribution platform, which included the founders of MTV, Island Records and Gateway Computers. In early 2000, Sputnik7 was acquired by a major media company. More recently, it has focused on making 10 to 12 investments a year in software companies participating in leading national gas pedals such as TechStars, 500 Startups, Y-Combinator and The Brandery.
