Peter Wagner is a founding partner of Wing Venture Partners. He is a member of the board of directors at Gong. He has served on the boards of BlueJeans and Lumigo. He is a board member of Pinecone, Hydrolix, Upsolver, Juvo, Tigera, Ordr and StepZen. He is an observer on the Board of Directors of Valtix. Under his leadership, he has invested in dozens of early stage companies, over 25 of which have gone public or have been successfully acquired. These companies include Nimble Storage, Fusion-io, Redback Networks, Riverbed, Arrowpoint Communications, Infinera, Peribit, Topspin, Omneon, and most recently, Opower. He has served on the boards of Acetti Software and Cumulus. He currently works with a portfolio of private companies that includes Blue Jeans Network, Qwilt, Jut, Platfora, CloudPhysics, Primary Data, Moogsoft and others. Prior to founding Wing, he led Accel Partners as a managing partner for 15 years. Before joining Accel, he was a business unit leader at Silicon Graphics, responsible for several generations of digital media and graphics workstation products. He previously worked at McKinsey and Company and began his career as a physicist working in nuclear fusion research and the aerospace industry. He received a B.S. in physics from Harvard College with honors and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Fellow.
