Richard Socher is the co-founder and CEO of You.com. He is also an investment partner at AIX Ventures. He has served as an advisor to Zebra Medical Vision. He is also a board observer at Ellipsis Health. He is an angel investor. He has served as Chief Scientist at Salesforce. He co-founded and served as CEO at MetaMind. He received his PhD from Stanford in 2014, where he worked with Chris Manning and Andrew Ng. He was awarded the 2011 International Conference on Machine Learning Outstanding Application Paper Award, the 2011 Yahoo! Key Scientific Challenges Award, the 2012 Microsoft Research Ph.D. Fellowship, and the 2013 "magic grant" from the Brown Institute for Media Innovation.
