Stewart Alsop is co-founder and partner of Alsop Louie Partners. He is on the board of directors of Fullpower-AI and HOVER. He previously served on the board of directors of Resilient Network Systems. He is on the board of directors of Copilot Labs, Ursa Major Technologies and Drop Kitchen. He has also served on the board of directors of The Cipher Brief. Until 2004, he was a general partner at New Enterprise Associates and led that company's investments in such companies as TiVo (TIVO), Portola Communications (sold to Netscape), Glu Mobile (GLUU) and Xfire (sold to Viacom). During this period, he also wrote a column for Fortune magazine. Before NEA, he was editor-in-chief of InfoWorld, a weekly newspaper for information technology professionals. He also published PC Letter, a bi-weekly newsletter for computer industry insiders, and hosted the Agenda and Demo conferences for computer industry executives. Until 1985 he worked in several executive editorial positions for business and trade magazines, including magazines.
