Toivo Annus was the co-founder of Ambient Sound Investments. He was co-owner of Coda Payments. He worked as an advisor at RferralCandy. He was also an advisor at Redmart. After leaving Skype, he created ASI's technology investment arm and has spent the last few years among a variety of startups, from high-powered semiconductors to virtual worlds and back again. He has received about 30 investments from ASI over the past 5 years and has personally invested in about 5 companies. He co-founded Skype, where he created and ran an engineering organization based in Tallinn, Estonia, responsible for hiring staff, engineering processes in general, and supplying the core p2p functionality until eBay acquired the company in late 2005. Prior to Skype, he led a number of smaller technology teams.
