Venkatesh Harinarayan is the co-founder of rocketship.vc. Dr. Harinarayan is a co-founder and has served as president at Cambrian Ventures. He has served as an advisor to FetchRev. Dr. Harinarayan is a co-founder of Milliways Ventures. He has served as an advisor to Qubole. He is the founder and president of Cambrian Ventures. He is also a founding partner of @WalmartLabs and has served as senior vice president of that company. He is also a founding partner of Kosmix Corporation. He is an advisor at UReach Technologies. He serves as an investor, advisor and board member of several technology startups. He is a member of the board of directors of Jasper Design Automation. Prior to founding the firm in 2000, he was a general manager at Amazon.com, working with founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, helping to build Amazon.com's merchandising business. He joined Amazon.com in 1998 as a result of the $250 million acquisition of Junglee, which he co-founded in 1996. At Junglee, he led the award-winning marketing program and was also responsible for building key strategic relationships. He has authored numerous technical papers, including one that won the 1996 ACM SIGMOD award for best paper, and holds three patents, including one named the most useful database patent to come out of IBM in the past 10 years. His accomplishments include a PR program that included a campaign that won the Bulldog Award for best media campaign in 1998, and key strategic relationships with companies such as Yahoo!, Excite and Ziff Davis.
